1. Description:
Nowadays the commonly used method is adding dimethyl isophthalate with polarity-based SO3Na into the polyester chips. The filament spinning from this way looks similar to the common one. However, thanks to the use of ion modification, this method not only greatly improves the fiber color absorption performance, but also reduces the crystallinity. As a result, the dye molecules are easy to penetrate into the fiber. Then the dyeing property, color absorption, and hygroscopicity are remarkably improved.

3. Applications:
Using special polymer technology to achieve molecular-level reformation, Cationic Polyester Fiber says it has now developed a cationic-dyeable polyester polymer that enables dyeing at ambient temperature and pressure for high-quality deep dyeing and colour clarity. Cationic Polyester Fiber strength of 3.8 cN/dtex or higher is equivalent to that of ordinary polyester fibres and in the top rank of cationic-dyeable polyester fibers.
Cationic Polyester Fiber opens the way for a wide variety of raw yarns, including non-circular cross-section yarn and ultra-fine highly multi-filament yarn measuring about 1.0 dpf (0.01 mm in diameter) or less per single yarn. Cationic Polyester Fiber also can be crimped and marketed as textured yarn.
Since Cationic Polyester Fiber can be dyed at ambient temperatures of 100 degrees Celsius or less, as well as at ambient pressure, its dyeing process requires 30% less power and steam energy consumption and produces 25% fewer CO2 emissions compared to conventional dyeing at 130 degrees Celsius and 1.3 atmospheres, according to tests conducted by Teijin Fibers.

Bi-component compound fiber is a compound-spun fiber made from PE and PP, or PE and PET sheath-core. A low-melting-point polymer (PE) acts as the sheath and a high-melting-point polymer (PP or PET) as a core in the making of heat-sealing non-woven fabric. Heat-sealing requires no chemical adhesive due to the low fusion point of the low-melting-point fiber, allowing for an eco-friendly and biologically safe product.
